Very short story

Five o’clock I see your name
Popping up on my iPhone
Little did I know
What the news would bring along
I of course took the cal but my good mood was soon to turn
Well to simplify what I found out already knew
Was that some people toy around while others do

And we cried together
And we died a little
But there’s always a new start
Better things around the corner
Life will smile again real soon
So stay awhile

Time and time again
Empowered ones will set th rules
But our disposition
When we’ve under-slept
Overworked
Been undermined
Barely paid
May lead us to say
I’ll be going other away

Think, don’t act in fear
Seek in yourself and truth shall rise
Have a drink or two
Put in perspective pros and cons
Tell somebody your worries
After all we’re all the same
Well needless to say the situation stinks but screw ‘em
Plus their petty talk
Together we’ll be fine after the devil blinks

And we’ll cry together
But we’ll live a little
‘cos there’s always a new start
Better things around the corner
Life is smiling back again so do your part
